Is it ever going to end?

Let me just tell you, I am sick to death of this crazy Alabama weather we have been having lately. Ok, so I understand it's spring, but there is no such thing as SPRING in Alabama. Anytime past March, it is supposed to be HOT. Well, that has not been the case. Today, I don't think we even broke 60.

In my pea-brained little head, I was totally thinking the sickness months were over. Let me just tell you, THEY'RE NOT!! Wyatt has been pulling at his ear for the past two days, and yesterday it started draining the most awful nasty stuff you have ever seen in your life. Today, I call and make him a doctors appointment and sure enough, it's an ear infection.....I knew this already, but unfortunately I didn't get a fancy degree, so I can't write our prescriptions! haha. Anyway, our wonderful pediatrician suggests we see an ENT. I immediately though tubes. So many of our friends kids have had to have them, and I know they help, but it still makes me a little nervous about my little guy having a procedure. The doc said I shouldn't be concerned if they do have to put in tubes, because 9 times out of 10 the children never have anymore ear problems. Well, that was enough for me. If we don't have to go through all this again next winter I will be in hog heaven! I will keep you informed on what the specialist decides to do.

On a side note, while I was in the office, I asked Wyatt's pediatrician about him not walking yet. This has bothered me for quite sometime now. He's 15 months and everyone has been asking if he is walking yet. Automatically, I think something is wrong because you hear all these stories about, "My baby was walking at 9 months." It was starting to make me really worried. So, I was telling the doc about how he would hold on and walk all over the place, but he never lets go. Well, don't you know she had him walking 5 steps to her! Ugghhh, how frustrating! Turns out, he's just chicken and I'm a sucker! haha

  2. My first son walked before a year and my second son didn't walk til he was 18 months. I never worried about it. That's pretty common for them to not walk til well towards a year and a half. Don't rush him mama.. keep him a baby! ;)

  4. The tubes in the ears are a breeze. It will help him in many ways. I'm not sure if he is talking yet but...He will be chatting up a storm when his ears are better. This will also help with the walking. You know how you feel with all the snot in your head.
